Requirements
The WISE Research Award Application consists of various personal response questions. You will also be asked to provide your personal information and attach documents.
The following documents must be provided in the application.
-
One-Page Teacher Reference Letter
-
Detailed Academic Report or Transcript from MyPass
-
Dated screenshot of your school’s grade portal that shows your current interim courses.
It is standard practice to give your teachers two weeks' notice when asking for a reference, so please ask as soon as possible. For additional information about how to access your detailed academic report, please see your school career advisor or counselor.
The application also includes a section where you will rank your project choices. There is a document that includes the list of projects (see above). Please read through each description and select the top three projects that you are most interested in.
Due to the intensive nature of this program, we highly discourage students from working other part-time jobs or having other involvements (volunteer, sports, summer school, etc.) that demand more than 10 hours a week. If you plan to have other involvement in the summer, please describe how you will be able to manage your commitments in the application.
Applications are due on May 5th, 2023 at 11:59 pm and we will be reaching out to students in early May. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to us at wiseresearchaward@gmail.com. However, please note that due to the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to emails regarding your application status.
